Here is a pic of Dutch from South Dakota with his first wild bird. The little guy only saw very limited action as he isn't even 6 months old! I know he is way to young but I had to see what he could do. He quartered well, flushed about 6 birds, and delivered both of the roosters to hand! I am extremely proud of him and can't wait to see just how far he can go.

Thank You for your all your help.

PS I enclosed a pic of Mac from the Land O Lakes HRC hunt test. A couple more passes and I will have my first titled dog!

Cathy,
Here is a picture of Wheatie's first duck hunt. Not the best picture, but Wheatie was certainly the star of the day, as she fetched about 15 ducks, 4 of which fell in heavy cat tails, yet she came out with the duck each time!

She did drop one of the first ducks into the water just a few feet from me, but I quickly used your techniques to remind her what "hold" meant, and she delivered the rest to hand.

My hunting companions were very impressed!

One of the ducks was still able to dive each time Wheatie got close. Wheatie swam for it several times, but eventually the duck did not surface anymore, so I called had to call her off.

Next it is pheasant hunting in South Dakota for the opener with my dad. I have not done enough collar conditioning, so I'm a little nervous about holding her back from running ahead on Pheasants.

Thank you for all the special effort training you have given Wheatie and I, it has really been a lot of fun watching her progress in your training program. You have developed a wondeful program!

Hi Cathy,

I just wanted to say Thank You for all your help this last year with Georgia. She did great on Saturday. We only shot 3 ducks but, she did her job. The grass we were sitting in was about 6' tall, so she had trouble getting a good line when they fell. With a little help, she went right out and got them, and delivered to hand. I was very please. Good Luck Hunting this fall, and Thanks Again.

P.S. Please pass this on to Matt, and Steve.....I owe them a big thanks also.

See You This Winter.
